These small tear shaped peppers originate from the Peruvian Amazon. They have an exceptional taste that balances sweet and sour, making them a great addition to pizza, pasta and salads. Their vibrant red or yellow colour is sure to brighten up any dish.

Preparation:
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Meanwhile in a large skillet melt butter over medium heat. Add shallot, cook and stir until tender, about 4-5 minutes.
When water comes to a boil, add pasta and cook to package directions or until desired softness is reached. Add sour cream and heavy cream to the shallot mixture and cook until it just begins to simmer. Remove from heat When pasta is al dente drain water reserving 1/2 cup of cooking liquid. Return skillet to medium heat. add lemon juice and thyme and cook into the sour cream mixture. Then add the pasta. Add enough pasta cooking water to make a sauce. Remove from heat and add half the pepper drops, toss gently. Plate, and garnish with remaining sweety peppers and lemon zest/ Serves 2-3
