Ricotta Cheese

Ricotta is creamy, moist and soft in texture. It has a mild and slightly sweet flavour, that is high in protein but low in fat. The cheese gets it name ricotta meaning “re-cooked” as traditionally ricotta was made from the whey that remained after making cheeses such as mozzarella and provolone.
